Student volunteer Alexandra Dombrowski takes care of the bees that live in six hives in green space between Crofts Hall and Bizer Creek on the North Campus. Dombrowski, a rising senior majoring in biological sciences, worked with David Hoekstra, clinical assistant professor of biological sciences, to install the hives. The initiative aims to offer members of the UB community the opportunity to learn about beekeeping, as well as provide opportunities to conduct research on honey bees. Read the story.
