The UB Professional Staff Senate will be hosting an electronics recycling, Blue Table food drive and clothing collection on the North Campus on Sept. 17.
UB employees can bring acceptable items (see the list from Sunnking) to the Center for Tomorrow parking lot from 7:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17. Volunteers will do the heavy lifting so that employees can remain in their vehicles.
In addition to the e-waste recycling, donations will be collected for Blue Table, the food pantry for UB students who do not have access to food as a result of an emergency. The most requested food items include shelf stable soy and almond milk, 1 pound bags of white rice, toothpaste and deodorant.
Gently used clothing can also be donated for reuse by the community group Hearts for the Homeless.
PSS has also partnered with Leveling the Playing Field, which will take gently used sports equipment to help support kids in Western New York play and practice their favorite sports.
The event is organized by the PSS Sustainable Living Committee.
