The National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) announced Three Pillars Catering at UB as a recipient of the NACUFS 2026 Loyal E. Horton Awards.
Three Pillars Catering received a bronze in the category of Catering Special Event of the Year for the 2025 Alumni Achievement Awards Reception.
The entry highlighted all the major components of a successful catered special event including menu and meal, theme development and execution, special nuances, and distinctive creativity.
“This marks the fourth consecutive year that our program has been nationally recognized for excellence,” says Eric Blackledge, executive director for Campus Dining and Shops.
Bobbi Scott Stearns, director of catering, adds: “We are honored to receive the bronze award for Catering Special Event of the Year, our first ever. This recognition reflects the creativity, dedication and attention to detail our entire catering team brings to every event. We take great pride in creating memorable experiences for our guests, and it is incredibly rewarding to see our team's hard work recognized by industry peers.”
Campus Dining and Shops will receive their award and be recognized at the 2026 NACUFS National Conference this July in New Orleans.
