The first speakers have been announced for Inside Higher Education’s US AI Summit, a landmark convening of national leaders from higher education, industry and policy to explore how artificial intelligence can address society’s most pressing challenges.
The summit will be hosted by UB and held June 3–4 at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Co-organized by Times Higher Education, the event will bring together thought leaders and participants from more than 100 universities and organizations to examine how AI can be applied to improve health care, education, the environment and other critical areas.
The following guest speakers have been added to the agenda:
President Satish Tripathi and Allison Brashear, vice president for health sciences and dean of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, will also speak at the summit.
Event attendees will explore how AI can be harnessed in democratic, responsible and equitable ways through high-level panels, applied case studies and collaborative discussions. Sessions will highlight AI’s potential to expand economic opportunity and enhance human creativity and problem-solving, while also examining the governance frameworks, cross-sector partnerships and practical decisions needed to advance trustworthy and responsible AI.
