UB and Northeast College of Health Sciences have announced a new educational partnership that creates expanded academic pathways for students pursuing advanced careers in the health sciences. The collaboration introduces a 4+3 articulation agreement designed to support a smooth transition from undergraduate study at UB to doctoral-level education at Northeast College.
Through the agreement, students enrolled at UB will complete a bachelor’s degree while fulfilling the prerequisite coursework required for admission to Northeast. Qualified students may then advance into Northeast’s Doctor of Chiropractic program, allowing them to reduce overall time to degree completion while maintaining academic rigor and preparation.
The 4+3 articulation agreement is available to UB students majoring in biochemistry, biomedical informatics, biomedical sciences, biotechnology, medical laboratory science, neuroscience, nuclear medicine, pharmacology and toxicology and exercise science. The curriculum is structured to ensure students meet all entrance requirements for Northeast while completing their undergraduate education at UB.
“Our partnership with the University at Buffalo expands access to advanced health care education by giving students a more direct and efficient route from undergraduate study to graduate programs,” says Amie Redmond, vice president of enrollment at Northeast College of Health Sciences. “These structured pathways help students reduce time and cost while preparing for careers that meet the evolving needs of the health care workforce.”
“Collaborating with the University at Buffalo allows us to align academic preparation with doctoral-level expectations,” adds Michael Mestan, president of Northeast College of Health Sciences. “This partnership reflects our mission to support rigorous, student-centered education and to strengthen the pipeline of future health care professionals.”
“Partnerships like this are about expanding opportunity for our students,” notes Christopher Connor, UB vice provost for enrollment management. “This agreement provides UB students interested in chiropractic care with a clear, efficient pathway into advanced clinical training, enabling earlier planning and a more direct transition into the profession.”
With guidance from academic advisers at both institutions, students are supported throughout the process to ensure timely completion of requirements and a smooth transition to Northeast. Students begin the pathway by working closely with their UB advisers to follow the established advisement sequence and prepare for application to Northeast.
