Jason Diffenderfer, senior associate vice president for university advancement and co-director of the Boldly Buffalo campaign, has been named interim vice president for university advancement.

Diffenderfer, who will continue in his role as campaign co-director, will lead UB’s advancement efforts while a national search is underway for a new vice president to replace Rod Grabowski. Grabowski is leaving UB to become senior vice president for advancement and partnerships at the University of Central Florida.

Diffenderfer’s appointment is effective Sept. 6; he will serve as officer-in-charge of the division between Aug. 20 and Sept. 5.
