Public sessions set for finalists in nursing dean search

The finalists in the search for a new dean of the School of Nursing have been identified and will visit UB this week and next week.

The four candidates will meet with senior academic and administrative leadership, staff, faculty, students and alumni.

Open sessions with the finalists will take place in 114 Wende Hall, South Campus, on the following dates:

  • April 21: 1:30-2:30 p.m.
  • April 25: 9:15-10:15 a.m.
  • April 26: 1:30-2:30 p.m.
  • April 27: 9:15-10:15 a.m.

At these sessions, the candidates will provide introductory remarks and talk with those attending the meeting.

The names and CVs of the finalists will be available on the search website 48 hours prior to each candidate’s visit. Members of the UB community will need to log in with their UBIT name and password to gain access to finalists’ names and CVs.

For those who cannot attend in person, a livestream will be available on the search website at the time of each open session. Additionally, a recording of each session will be posted on the search website after the open session and will be available until 5 p.m. April 29.

Confidential surveys to gather feedback on each candidate will be available on the search website beginning the day of their campus visits. All feedback should be submitted by 5 p.m. April 29.

The search is seeking a successor to Marsha Lewis, will retire from UB at the end of the academic year.
