Public sessions set for finalists in management dean search

Published April 26, 2022

The five finalists in the search for a new dean of the School of Management will visit UB next week to meet with senior academic and administrative leadership, staff, faculty, students and alumni.

Open sessions with the finalists will take place from 1:30-2:30 p.m. May 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the Buffalo Room, 10 Capen Hall, North Campus.

At these sessions, the candidates will provide introductory remarks and talk with those attending the meeting.

The names and CVs of the finalists will be available on the search website 48 hours prior to each candidate’s visit. Members of the UB community will need to log in with their UBIT name and password to gain access to finalists’ names and CVs.

For those who cannot attend in person, a livestream will be available on the search website at the time of each open session. Additionally, a recording of each session will be posted on the search website after the open session and will be available until noon on May 9. Those who are unable to attend the sessions and have questions for the finalists can submit questions in advance.

Confidential surveys to gather feedback on each candidate will be available on the search website beginning the day of their campus visits. All feedback should be submitted by noon on May 9.

The search is seeking a successor to Paul Tesluk, who is stepping down as dean at the end of the academic year to return to his faculty role as Donald S. Carmichael Professor of Organizational Behavior in the Department of Organization and Human Resources.
