Public forums set for finalists in Social Work dean search

Four finalists in the search for a new dean of the School of Social Work have been identified, and open forums with the members of the UB community will take place next week via Zoom.

The Zoom webinars will be held from 1-1:50 p.m. on each of the following dates:

The names and CVs of the finalists will be available by 9 a.m. on April 23 on the School of Social Work dean search website. Members of the UB community will need to log in with their UBIT name and password to gain access to the names and CVs of the candidates.

Confidential surveys will be available on the search website to gather feedback on each candidate. All feedback must be submitted by April 30 at midnight.

For those unable to attend, a recording of each forum will be posted on the search website until April 30 at midnight.

The search is seeking a successor to Nancy J. Smyth, who is stepping down at the end of the semester after 16 years as dean to return to her faculty role as a professor of social work.
