Weber to lead updated Climate Action Plan webinar on Earth Day

As the university celebrates the 50th anniversary of Earth Day on April 22, UB leaders will conduct a webinar discussing UB’s updated Climate Action Plan.

Provost A. Scott Weber will be joined by a panel of experts at 11 a.m. Wednesday for a detailed conversation about UB’s institutional commitment and how the university community can contribute toward UB’s goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2030.

Panelists include Tonga Pham, associate vice president for university facilities; Amir Rezaei of CannonDesign, who is also a UB alumnus; Elizabeth Thomas, assistant professor of geology in the College of Arts and Sciences; Maya Miller, a UB undergraduate student and Education and Leadership Fellow in Sustainability; and Ryan McPherson, chief sustainability officer.
