As the university contemplates its transit fleet of the future, consideration is being given to operating a more sustainable UB Stampede bus to reduce UB's carbon footprint.

Last spring, the UB community got a hands-on look at two electric buses. Now, a third manufacturer has agreed to let UB faculty, staff and students experience their product.

Members of the UB community will have two opportunities to take a tour and ride an electric-powered bus:

• Sept. 17, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Lee Loop, North Campus
• Sept. 18, 8:30-11:30 a.m., Main Circle, South Campus; 12:30-3:30 p.m. Flint Loop, North Campus
