‘Bridge’ lectures underway at Newman Center

UB Athletic Director Mark Alnutt will review the past year in UB Athletics and look toward the future in the next installment of the Bridge Lecture Series on June 26.

Alnutt’s talk, “UB Athletics: 2018-19 In Review and Looking Toward the Future,” is part of the annual summer lecture series presented by the UB Newman Center.

The aim of the series, now in its 17th year, is to connect the UB family with the surrounding community.

All talks, which are free and open to the public, are held at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Newman Center, 495 Skinnersville Road across from the Creekside Village apartments on the North Campus.

  • July 17: Richard Lamb, associate professor, Department of Learning and Instruction, “Virtual Reality and Trauma Treatment.”
  • July 24: Abigail Cooke, assistant professor, Department of Geography, The Benefits of Immigrant Diversity in the United States.”
  • July 31: Monsignor J. Patrick Keleher, director, UB Newman Center, “What’s Good About the Catholic Church?”
