Finalists in the search for a new vice provost for university libraries have been identified and are coming to UB during the next two weeks.
All candidates will meet with academic and administrative leadership, and also will take part in open forum sessions with UB faculty, staff and students.
Information, including the names and CVs of the finalists, is available on the search website. Members of the UB community will need to log in with their UBIT name and password to gain access to the candidate information.
Open forums with the finalists will take place:
The participation and input of members of the campus community is critically important to the success of the search, says search committee Chair Suzanne Rosenblith, dean of the Graduate School of Education. Survey links will be available following the open forums to gather feedback from participants.
The search is seeking a successor to Austin Booth, who left UB last summer to become dean of the Division of Libraries at New York University. Elizabeth Adelman, former vice dean for legal information services and director of the Charles B. Sears Law Library in the School of Law, has been serving as interim vice provost since June 13.
The committee hopes to complete the search process by July 1.
