Upcoming work on bridges on the I-990 near the North Campus by the state Department of Transportation may affect travel to and from campus beginning next week and continuing into the fall.
The I-990 northbound entrance and exit ramps to Sweethome Road will be closed beginning May 6 — and lasting approximately four months into September — while crews work on the I-990 bridges from Chestnut Ridge Road to Ellicott Creek. While no construction work will take place on these ramps, they are being closed so as not to hamper motorists traveling on the I-990.
At least two lanes of traffic will be maintained within the work areas.
