Campus Dining and Shops continues to clean up at this year's Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards competition.

The Bowl, CDS’ active lifestyle restaurant in the Ellicott Complex, was awarded the Grand Prize in the Retail Sales category for the 2018 Horton awards sponsored by the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS).

The prize was awarded July 14 during NACUFS’ national conference in Providence, R.I.

The Bowl earlier this year won the 2018 Horton competition’s Gold Award in the Retail Sales category for large schools. The Grand Prize for the category recognizes the top entry from among the Gold Award winners in the small, medium and large school entries.

The Bowl, which opened last August, focuses on custom-created greens-, grains- and noodle-based bowls.
