UB Sustainability seeking nominees for SLICE Awards

UB Sustainability is accepting nominations for outstanding students, faculty and staff to be recognized as part of the third annual SLICE awards (Sustainability Leadership, Innovation and Collaborative Engagement).

The awards recognize outstanding individuals and departments that exhibit a sincere commitment to transforming UB’s campuses into a holistically sustainable community across four categories:

  • Sustainability Excellence by a Department or Cross Functional Team.
  • Student Leadership Award for Sustainable Action.
  • Staff Award for Sustainable Operations Initiative.
  • Faculty Award for Sustainability in Higher Education.

Award recipients will be recognized during a ceremony that will take place as part of Earth Week events April 17-21.

Nominations can be submitted by completing the online form by 5 p.m. April 3. Nominees must be faculty or staff members, students, alumni, or a department or cross-functional team at UB.
