The thoughts and prayers of the University at Buffalo are with the Ohio State University community as it responds to and copes with today’s tragic events.

Members of the UB community concerned about their safety in the wake of the tragedy in Ohio are encouraged to review the safety guidance provided by University Police on UB’s emergency website.

The university urges every member of the UB community to sign up for UB Alert to receive immediate notice of all campus emergencies.

It is important to note that University Police regularly train on emergency incidents, including conducting active shooter/hostile intruder drills. University Police also offer programs on how students, faculty and staff should respond in the unlikely event of a hostile intruder on campus.

Anyone who witnesses a crime or concerning behavior at the university should immediately call University Police at 716-645-2222.
