“Cid Corman: In Collaboration,” an exhibition of the works of internationally acclaimed poet, author and publisher Cid Corman, is now on display in the UB Poetry Collection.

Open through Jan. 18 in 420 Capen Hall, the exhibition showcases the collaborations between Corman and visual artists from the 1960s and 1970s. The texts that inspired the images — created mostly by Japanese artists — are displayed alongside one another. Visitors also can view archival photographs, memorabilia and more of Corman.

The materials were provided from the collections of Corman family friend Carol Williams and Renison University College lecturer Daniel Bratton.

Corman was a key figure in the history of 20th-century American poetry. He is most notable for founding Origin, an alternative poetry magazine that provided an early platform for groundbreaking poets, including Charles Olson, Robert Creeley and Gary Snyder.

The Poetry Collection is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The exhibition is closed Dec. 26-30.
