    A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. June 6 in Amherst Memorial Chapel, 281 Dodge Road, Getzville, for Lynne Hochberg Pace, an ophthalmologist and former UB clinical faculty member who died April 14 from brain cancer at her winter home in Arizona. She was 63.

    Gerald L. Logue, professor of medicine and chief of the Division of Hematology in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, died June 7 in the VA Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 73.

    UB’s New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, in collaboration with the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Buffalo Niagara Enterprise, MedTech and National Grid, will co-sponsor 10 local biotech companies at the 2015 BIO International Convention, the world’s largest event for the biotechnology industry.
