“From Combat to Classroom: Helping Veterans Transition to Life on Campus” is the title of a panel discussion to be held from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 28 in 107 Capen Hall, North Campus.
The panel is the second installment in the Education & Advocacy Series presented by the Professional Staff Senate’s Inclusion & Diversity Committee.
Student and staff veterans will share their experiences finding balance between life as a soldier and as a student. Panelists will discuss the challenges of adjusting to the university community after having served in the military.
Those attending the session will gain a better understanding of the issues veterans encounter, learn tips about how to help veterans achieve success and become familiar with resources available both on and off campus.
Participants are asked to RSVP.
