Electronics recycling day set

UB faculty, staff, students and members of the Alumni Association can dispose of their old computers and other electronics at a free computer and electronics recycling event Jan. 22 on the North Campus.

Material will be accepted from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Center for Tomorrow parking lot.

Accepted materials include computer devices, monitors, televisions, networking devices, printers, audio/video equipment, communication devices, lab/test and measurement devices, power supplies, microwaves, wire/cabling, computer hardware, computer batteries and telecommunication devices.

Materials that will not be accepted for recycling include home appliances, light bulbs and lamps, gas-powered and lawn equipment, household hazardous waste, liquids and batteries.

The recycling services are being provided by Maven Technologies, the first certified electronics recycler in New York State.
