Members of the UB community are invited to donate items and supplies for members of the armed forces serving overseas to help make their holidays more comfortable.

Donations for the Holidays for Soldiers program will be collected until noon on Dec. 13. Collection bins are located in the Veterans Services Office in 101 Allen Hall, South Campus, and in Career Services, 259 Capen Hall, and the Intercultural & Diversity Center, 240 Student Union, both on the North Campus.

Personal care items that are needed include toiletries, toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorant, dental floss, razors, shaving cream, soap and shampoo.

Soldiers also appreciate candy, books, board and card games, socks, mousetraps and flat, pine tree-shaped air fresheners.
