Graduate Enrollment Management Services (GEMS) is reaching out to the UB community of faculty and staff to take advantage of the wide spectrum of tuition-free courses leading to graduate and professional degrees.

“I believe that employees at UB may be unaware of this tremendously under-utilized benefit,” says Christopher S. Connor, assistant dean for GEMS. “Taking advantage of this perk not only helps faculty and staff develop themselves personally and professionally, but also causes UB to reap the benefits of employees trained by its very own world-renowned educators.”

To get started, Connor says, simply review the details below, and then visit the graduate course catalog.

There are two ways to take tuition-free courses:

  • UUP Tuition Free Program – full-time and part time UUP employees may qualify for a waiver that covers 100% of tuition for one course per semester or summer session. For eligibility requirements, visit the the Tuition Assistance Programs lweb site.
  • SUNY B140W Program – depending on your affiliation with UB, you may qualify for a waiver of 25%, 50% or even 100% of your tuition for one course per semester or summer session. For eligibility requirements, visit the the Tuition Assistance Programs web site.
