Campaign offers donor incentives

Special parking passes, an HP printer and tickets to UB’s Distinguished Speakers Series lectures are among the prizes being awarded to UB employees who make gifts to the 2013 Employees Campaign for the Community.

Prizes will be awarded every Thursday and only those individuals who have made a donation to the campaign by midnight the previous night (11:59 p.m. Wednesday) will be eligible to win. The names of the winners will be posted on the campaign website under “news.”

In addition to the individual prizes, a grand prize will be awarded on Nov. 20 to the UB unit that has the highest percentage increase in donors from Nov. 4 through Nov. 20. That prize is 16 tickets—for eight employees and their guests—plus parking to the UB Bulls football game vs. Bowling Green on Nov. 29 in Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Prizes being awarded to individual employee donors are:

  • Oct. 31: Two special parking spaces for the spring 2014 semester, to be awarded to two employees, (compliments of University Life and Services) and a pair of reception passes and tickets to the Nov. 13 Distinguished Speaker Series lecture featuring Malcolm Gladwell (compliments of the Office of Special Events)
  • Nov. 7: Two $15 gift certificates to Curley’s Grill & Banquet Center, to be awarded to two employees, and two guest passes to the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens (Office of the Associate Vice President for Information Technology)
  • Nov. 14: Four Darwin Martin House coffee mugs, a photo of architecturally significant buildings in Buffalo and two Darwin Martin House tour tickets($115.00 value, compliments of the School of Architecture and Planning) and two tickets to the March 26 Sanjay Gupta Distinguished Speaker Series lecture (School of Management)
  • Nov. 21: A 50-minute massage gift certificate from Sandra C. Aldridge LMT (School of Social Work) and an HP ENVY 120 color printer (Financial Services)
  • Dec. 5: Four tickets to the April 26 Distinguished Speaker Series event with magician David Blaine (Office of Special Events)
  • Dec. 12: SaveAround Coupon Books offering discounts on food, recreation and entertainment in Western New York, to be awarded to three employees, (School of Nursing) and a $50 Tim Hortons gift certificate (School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences).
