At UB, we believe every student deserves to walk across the stage. The "Gift Your Gown" program makes that possible by collecting regalia after commencement and redistributing it, cleaned and ready, to students who may not be able to purchase their own.
Give your graduation regalia a second life and help a future UB graduate celebrate their achievements. Donating your regalia supports UB's committment to sustainability and ensures every graduate has access to a cap and gown.
Collection bins will be available across campus throughout commencement weekend and into the summer. After you've crossed the stage and taken your photos, you can drop your cap and gown in a collection bin and we'll take care of the rest! All regalia collected through this program will be cleaned and made available to students who may be unable to purchase their own.
Reduce, reuse, regalia- it's a great way to be #TrueBlue!
Did you graduate within the last five years? You can donate your gently used graduation gown to a UB grad. Fill out the form below!
If you have any questions about how to donate, please contact Erin Moscati, Zero Waste Manager (emoscati@buffalo.edu).

This initiative is a collaboration between UB Sustainability, the College of Arts and Sciences and University Events to promote student access to graduaton regalia.
