Care to Share Cart.

UB Sustainability is piloting a new initiative, the "Care to Share Cart." This project works to promote a sharing economy across campus. The cart is similar to a "Little Free Library" or "Free Item" on Facebook Marketplace.

Rules of Use

Students can take, leave, borrow, or keep any item from the cart as long as it is in good condition, appropriate for public sharing, sealed, and non-perishable.

Accepted Items

  • Books
  • School supplies (paper/pencils/pens/highlighters)
  • Calculators
  • Jewelry
  • Craft supplies
  • Kitchenware
  • Non-perishable food items (granola bars/tea bags)
  • Unused and new toiletries (tampons/laundry detergent)
  • Board/card games
  • Small tools
  • Home decor

Unaccepted Items

  • Trash
  • Any item larger than the cart
  • Perishable food items
  • Items in poor condition

Where are they located?

The Student Union has agreed to host two carts one in the SU and one in Harriman Hall.
