How long have you worked at UB?

Print

I have worked at UB for a little over seven years, serving as an Admissions Counselor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and most currently as the Assistant Director of Recruitment for Executive and Professional MBA programs in the School of Management.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I most enjoy assisting those interested in pursuing their MBA to further their careers, through conversations and relationship building. My true passion is working with students and helping them achieve their educational and career goals.

What is the most difficult part about your job?

I have spent the majority of my career working with prospective undergraduate students. The transition to working with a new population of professional andexecutive students is a new experience, but one in which I am excited to experience and excel.

What would you say is your biggest achievement at UB?

One of my biggest achievements at UB is the upward progression and growth in my career. In addition, I have been able to spotlight the University at Buffalo during my involvement with and expanding leadership positions in the State University of New York College Admissions Professionals Organization (SUNYCAP).

Tell us something about your department that isn’t well known.

For many years, the Executive and Professional MBA programs used to be housed under the Center for Executive Development department within the School of Management. We were separate from other degree programs and worked more closely with non-credit bearing programs and executive development based programs. However, in May 2019, there was a reorganization in the school and the Executive and Professional MBA programs separated from the Center for Executive Development and are now are housed with the rest of the degree programs.

If you were to share some advice for other professional staff, what would it be?

“Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach.” –Tony Robbins

Do you have any hobbies? What do you do for fun?

I enjoy golfing, skiing, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, and league nights at Hatchets and Hops!

Do you have a favorite meal you like to prepare?

My favorite meal to prepare is rosemary chicken salad with avocado and bacon.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

The Swiss Alps to ski!
