How long have you worked at UB?

I have worked at UB for almost 20 years; 19 years in the School of Management as a computer training instructor and program coordinator for Center for Executive Development, and about six months as a learning designer with the Center for Educational Innovation.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

What I enjoy most is that I am constantly learning new information.

What's the most difficult part about your job?

Ha, the most enjoyable part is also the most difficult part.

What would you say is your biggest achievement at UB?

After working in the School of Management for 19 years, I wanted to challenge myself further and gain new skill sets, so I enrolled in the Graduate School of Education and started a new position as a learning designer in the Center for Educational Innovation.

Tell us something about your department that isn't well known.

Our office suite, which is located in 5 Norton was the kitchen for the original Tiffin Room, which was located across the hall in 6 Norton.

If you were to share some advice for other professional staff, what would it be?

Don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself with something new.

Do you have any hobbies? What do you do for fun?

Does chauffeuring my kids to events count as a hobby? I try to travel and explore as much as I can.

Do you have a favorite meal you like to prepare?

I leave the cooking to others; it's just safer that way.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I love to explore and travel. If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would love to go on an African safari; Australia (minus the flight); hike Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyons (minus the snakes); hike the Pacific Crest Trail (minus the snakes); and RV across America (minus the driving).

Any other fun facts about you?

Next year, two of my four kids and I will be enrolled in college at the same time. Also, I was the first New Year's baby born in Niagara County.
