An article in The Washington Post exclusively featured research by Amy Shaver on the dramatic rise in elderly patients taking drugs that can lead to falls. “These drugs are doing what they are supposed to be doing, but also are working off target,” says Shaver. “There are valid reasons to prescribe them. But they can be problematic.”
