California's college sports pay law could change NCAA as we know it

Published October 1, 2019

NBC News quotes Nellie Drew in an article about California lawmakers who passed a bill that allows college athletes to hire agents and be paid for endorsements and the use of their image. With other states including New York considering similar legislation, Drew said the move is likely to set off a long series of legal battles that ultimately could end up in the Supreme Court.  Drew called the looming showdown "the single biggest threat the NCAA has faced, maybe, in its history."
