BUFFALO, N.Y. —What’s next for advanced manufacturers in Western New York? University at Buffalo’s New York State Center of Excellence in Materials Informatics (CMI) and Buffalo Manufacturing Works (BMW) will answer this question and more Thursday at the Innovation Lecture Series, a program presented by UB’s centers of excellence.

Where: 2nd floor of 701 Ellicott St., Buffalo.

When: 4-5 p.m. on Thursday, March 16.

Who: Lecturers include CMI Executive Director Mark Swihart and BMW President Michael Ulbrich.

What: The discussion will focus on how CMI and BMW are working to accelerate advanced manufacturing in Western New York, including technology road-mapping to increase competitiveness, the implementation of an advanced manufacturing learning lab, and the funding of faculty and industry collaboration projects.
