Buffalo, NY- The Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo will present Bollywood Masala Orchestra and Dancers of India in “The Spirit of India” on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 7:30pm in the Mainstage Theatre, located at the Center for the Arts, North Campus. The performance is supported in part by Triveni.

“The Spirit of India” is a new step toward a bold vision in Indian live music and dance. Rahis Bharti, one of India's greatest musical figures, and the Bollywood Masala Orchestra and Dancers of India invite you on a lively musical journey from Rajasthan to Mumbai.

From an early age, Rahis Bharti was captivated by both the rich traditions and modern interpretations of his country's signature sound and vision. Bharti has since travelled the world performing at prestigious festivals, concert halls and theatres. With 17 professional artists on stage, the performance promises a veritable feast of Indian sounds, featuring a mix of Indian and Western instruments such as bass drums, side drums, trombone, tabla, dholak, harmonium and clarinet, among many others.
