Thirty-four of the University at Buffalo’s most promising students take a five-day tour of projects and personalities reshaping Buffalo in a week-long seminar designed to groom and educate future area leaders.
UB President Satish K. Tripathi applauded Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s proposal to extend the NYSUNY 2020 predictable tuition program, saying it will enable UB to build even further on the strong momentum created by the the program.
UB was awarded $2 million by SUNY to develop two new programs designed to help students complete their degrees and obtain successful employment upon graduation.
UB will launch a new department at the end of the current semester dedicated to the academic study of the Jewish intellectual tradition in the development of Western civilization.
“Excelsior” – meaning “ever upward” – is New York State’s official motto, and upward-looking UB Law School seniors are now eligible for the governor’s Excelsior Service Fellowship Program.
For UB education professor Nathan J. Daun-Barnett, hundreds of completed student financial aid applications that might never have been successfully filed are not enough.
Although still in its infancy, University at Buffalo faculty, staff and students are finding UBThisWinter, the university’s winter session, to be a great way to spend the time between the traditional fall and spring semesters.
