    A former post-doctoral fellow at University at Buffalo has provided a gift to support young researchers in honor of the training in the field of pulmonary medicine, environmental physiology and bioengineering that he received at the Center for Research and Education in Special Environments and Department of Physiology and Biophysics in the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

    Giving so that others can communicate, DynaVox Technologies has donated equipment and systems valued at nearly $116,000 to the Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences in the University at Buffalo's College of Arts and Sciences.
  • Anderson Gallery Receives Archive, Artwork of Alum

    The UB Anderson Gallery, the University at Buffalo's art museum, has received the archive -- personal journals, travel slides and other artifacts -- and seven works of art by the late artist and UB alumnus Allan D'Arcangelo (1930-98). The gifts significantly contribute to UB Anderson Gallery's continuing endeavor to be an academic resource for students and scholars by supplementing its growing collection and archive on contemporary art.
  • UB's JNI to Establish Pediatric MS Center

    The Jacobs Neurological Institute of the University at Buffalo has received a $1.8 million, five-year grant from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to establish at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo one of six Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Centers of Excellence that it is creating in the United States.
  • Scholarship to Honor Father's Education Commitment

    It took him 16 years of studying part time on nights and weekends while working full time and raising a family to complete his engineering degree at the University at Buffalo, but Felix Smist, B.S. '65, kept at it. To honor his father and help students who experience similar situations, Felix's son James Smist, B.S. '80, and his wife, Mary, have established the Felix Smist Scholarship at UB.
