    Gina Bronkie Hammond, who received a master's degree in computer science and engineering (CSE) from the University at Buffalo in 1973, has given a generous gift of $150,000 to the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in support of a new high-tech flagship engineering building.

Kogut, who earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University at Buffalo in 1960 and 1965, respectively, will help promote rural development in third world countries, especially on the African continent, as well as helping rural communities in upstate New York.

    Eight hundred children and their parents are scheduled to fill dental clinics in the School of Dental Medicine at the University at Buffalo and the Pediatric Dental Clinic at Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo on Feb. 2 to take part in the fifth annual Give Kids a Smile Day.
  • Cameron Baird Foundation Gives $20,000 to WBFO 88.7FM for HD Radio Conversion

    The Cameron Baird Foundation has given a $20,000 grant to WBFO 88.7 FM, the National Public Radio affiliate operated by the University at Buffalo, to be used for installing the new technology of broadcasting in digital format, known as HD Radio.
  • Gift Will Help UB Advance Pharmaceutical Sciences

    Schering-Plough has provided $125,000 to the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to fund the training of a graduate fellow in the school's Pharmaceutics Program. The gift, which will come in $25,000 increments over five years, will support a stipend, tuition and research funding for the student over a five-year period.
  • Patient Simulator Will Enhance Medical Students' Training
