    The 2012 Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange, released yesterday in Washington, D.C., finds that, for the tenth year in a row, the University at Buffalo is among the top 20 institutions in the United States hosting international students.
  • UB Recognized as Bicycle-Friendly Campus

    The League of American Bicyclists has designated the University at Buffalo as a "Bicycle Friendly University" at the bronze level, an award presented only to institutions with a strong commitment to cycling.

    Samuel Bodapaty has been named "Protege of the Year" by the Allstate Minority and Women Emerging Entrepreneurs program, a joint venture by the University at Buffalo School of Management's Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) and the UB Center for Urban Studies.

    John Jennings, associate professor of visual studies at the University at Buffalo and a 2012 UB Humanities Institute Fellow, will discuss his graphic novel on the Great Migration at 4 p.m. on Nov. 9 at Hallwalls, 341 Delaware Ave., Buffalo.
  • Glick Receives National Editorial Award for Third Consecutive Year

    Michael Glick, DMD, professor and dean of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, has been awarded the American Dental Education Association's (AADE) William J. Gies Foundation First Place Editorial award for the third year in a row.
  • UB's Willer Receives North American Brain Injury Society Research Award

    University at Buffalo Professor of Psychiatry Barry S. Willer, PhD, is the recipient of the North American Brain Injury Society (NABIS) research award. It was presented to Willer last month at the annual meeting of the organization in Miami, at which he gave a keynote address.
  • UB Libraries Honored as a Federal Depository Library of the Year

    The University at Buffalo Libraries have been selected as a 2012 Federal Depository Library of the Year by the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). Acting Public Printer Davita Vance-Cooke made the announcement on Oct. 15 at the Federal Depository Library Conference in Washington, D.C.
