    "Kid Corridors: Taking Steps to School" is an active commuting plan developed by UB graduate students that recommends ways the Town of Amherst and the Williamsville Central School District can education, encourage and enable middle and elementary school students to walk to school. The plan will be presented to town and school district officials and members of the Amherst community today (Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009) from 6-8 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Amherst Town Hall, 5583 Main St.

    The University at Buffalo's Structural Engineering and Earthquake Simulation Laboratory (SEESL) today (Monday, Nov. 23, 2009) will host a team of civil engineering researchers from Georgia Tech who have travelled to Buffalo to test on one of UB's high-performance earthquake simulators a 1/10 scale model of shipping container cranes.

Takeuchi, PhD, SUNY Distinguished Professor and Greatbatch Professor in Power Sources Research at the University at Buffalo, will be in a conference room on UB's suburban Buffalo campus addressing 600 medical students thousands of miles away in Riga, Latvia.
