    University at Buffalo Law School Dean Makau Mutua, SUNY Distinguished Professor and Floyd H. and Hilda L. Hurst Faculty Scholar, was elected vice president of the American Society of International Law (ASIL) March 26. The ASIL is the most prestigious and largest organization of international lawyers in the world.
  • UB Police Arrest Former Student in Assault in South Campus Dormitory

    A 22-year-old former university student was arrested by University at Buffalo Police Tuesday afternoon and charged with three crimes -- including third-degree assault -- for the alleged unprovoked attack on a UB student in the lobby of Goodyear Residence Hall early Sunday morning.

    Ann Burstein Cohen, associate professor of accounting in the University at Buffalo School of Management, will receive the Dr. Emanuel Saxe Outstanding CPA in Education Award from the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) on May 19 at the NYSSCPA's 114th Annual Election Meeting and Dinner in New York City.

Paley, internationally renowned archaeologist of the Middle East, co-founder of IEMA and professor in the Department of Classics.
