Feal, professor of Spanish in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University at Buffalo, has been elected by the Delegate Assembly of the Modern Language Association to a two-year term on the MLA's Nominating Committee, which presents a slate of candidates for the major offices of the association.

    "Chutney Popcorn," winner of major awards at the 2000 Berlin, Ojai, San Francisco, Los Angeles Outfest and the 1999 Newport film festivals, will open the University at Buffalo's fifth annual International Women's Film Festival on Jan. 25 in the Market Arcade theater, 639 Main St., Buffalo.
