Alzheimer’s disease; the clinical care of patients with AD and other memory disorders; genetic factors and new treatments

Kinga Szigeti can talk to the media about Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders including mild cognitive impairment. As a researcher who studies the genetic factors involved in the development of Alzheimer’s disease, she can discuss new medications, how they work and their potential for success in preventing or slowing progression.

As director of the Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Disorders Center, she can talk about how a multidisciplinary approach involving neurologists, neuropsychologists, neuroimagers, social workers and nurses helps provide compassionate and effective care for patients and families.

Szigeti can also talk about her ongoing work studying a gene present in 75% of people that helps strengthen brain structure in a way that is neuroprotective against diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease.

She is a physician with UBMD Neurology.
