Andrew Whittaker is an expert on structural engineering, including earthquake, blast and impact engineering of buildings, bridges and other structures.

Whittaker has conducted extensive research on the seismic resilience of nuclear power plants and is considered a leading expert on the structural design of next-generation nuclear reactors. He also specializes in how buildings and infrastructure — including long-span bridges — react to earthquakes and bombs and other blasts.

He can speak to media about these topics, as well as about America’s aging infrastructure.
