Any tenure-track (pre-tenure and tenured), clinical or research faculty who conduct research or creative work on important global/international topics are eligible to apply.
To apply for a grant, please submit the following:
Applicants must submit all required documents as separate files (PDF or WORD) to the OIE submission site. Grants are awarded twice a year, and the application deadlines are at the close of business (5:00 pm) on February 28 and September 30.
Applications will be evaluated by a UB faculty committee convened by the OIE. Applicants will be notified of their funding decision normally within a month of the deadline.
The awardee is required to submit a Summary Report of no more than 500 words and include an Updated Budget Report detailing actual expenditure within 30 days of the conclusion of the project. These reports should be submitted to the Office of International Education at OIEgrants@buffalo.edu. Failure to submit these reports in time may make the awardee ineligible for future OIE grants.
