About Center of Excellence in Materials Informatics (CMI) Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) Workshops

The Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) is a 12-member body of exemplary leaders representing a cross section of some of the most experienced and admired companies in the fields of advanced manufacturing and materials science. The IAB serves as CMI’s program ambassadors—helping shape research directions based on industry trends and needs (informed in part by the IAB Workshops). Board members also help guide strategic approaches to state and federal funding opportunities and designations, particularly public-private partnerships. Members serve initial three-year terms and meet throughout the year.

Whether you're a startup or thriving company continuing to innovate, the CMI is here to help. As a solutions-driven resource and community resource, we deploy the skills of University at Buffalo researchers and partnering institutions to address industry's materials challenges by developing breakthrough technologies, fostering entrepreneurship and facilitating workforce assistance programs.

Participation and Eligibility

Workshops are available to selected manufacturing and materials sciences businesses interested in partnering with CMI.
