UB Bike Days

Connection and joy
Humans have a fundamental need to belong. The good news, says social psychologist Shira Gabriel, is that there are many ways to fulfill that need, including sharing a funny moment with strangers, immersing ourselves in a book, or even scrolling TikTok (in small doses). Reduce, reuse, recycle
More than 120 members of the UB community took part in the Professional Staff Senate’s electronics recycling event on the North Campus on Sept. 17. Along with recycling old tech, participants donated food, clothing and sports equipment to support Blue Table, Hearts for the Homeless and Leveling the Playing Field, respectively. Many attendees mentioned to volunteers that they save their unwanted electronics throughout the year for this annual event. Photo: Douglas Levere
