Congratulations to PhD candidate Jos Marshall

Congratulations to PhD candidate Jos Marshall who has been awarded a #UBuffalo LEAD Award for Pride & Service! The nomination made reference to her work with The riverrun Global Film Series, Buffalo-Niagara LGBTQ History Project, Palah Light Lab, and an exhibition she curated at the Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo entitled "Being In-Between / In-Between Being."

Jos is currently a 2021-2022 Dissertation Scholar in residence at the Brandeis Women's Studies Research Center and has a co-edited collection, Trauma Informed Pedagogy: Addressing Gender-Based Biolence in the Classroom, coming out this July: https://books.emeraldinsight.com/book/detail/trauma-informed-pedagogy/?k=9781800714984&fbclid=IwAR07oXlChdEGxPiay_4rmQeesvRS16dpTrJ_4-wCSOUPYbPKYgu38EeL_Co

Department of English clinical faculty member Kellie Sharp is featured in the collection, which includes as well an interview with UB MFA alum Julia Rose Sutherland, an indigenous feminist artist. A written transcript of Jos’s interview with Sutherland will also be featured in later this year, in conjunction with a video recording of their exchange. This project is in collaboration with the Feminist Interview Project, run by the CAA Advancing Art & Design's Committee on Women in the Arts, on which Jos has served since 2020.
