The Department of Communication welcomes Dr. David Lee to the faculty as Assistant Professor. Dr. Lee received his doctorate in social psychology at the University of Michigan. Prior to coming to the Department of Communication, Dr. Lee was a Postdoctorate fellow in social psychology at the Ohio State University, where he studied whether self-esteem would moderate the health benefits of social support.
His research focuses on how people can leverage their social relationships to thrive in life, and social media use & computer mediate communication. Dr. Lee’s teaching interests include social psychology, interpersonal communication, self-regulation, close relationships, and social media.
