  • Yijun Sun over a cancer cell.

How can understanding cancer's growth help us eradicate it?

AI and next-generation genomic sequencing are used to reconstruct how cancer evolves from normal cells to malignant disease. Building on computational models for breast, prostate and bladder cancer and AI-driven prognostic tools for breast and lung cancer, this research identifies molecular events behind progression and outcomes. Collaborators can help advance earlier detection, prognosis and precision treatment.

  • Praveen Arany in front of low dose red light therapy.

How can we administer effective doses of 'Red light' therapy?

Photobiomodulation research examines how low-dose light triggers non-thermal processes that activate growth factors and support tissue repair. By linking molecular mechanisms with dosimetry that accounts for light absorption and scattering, this work aims to make red-light therapy more reproducible. Collaboration can advance precise dosing, clinical translation and treatments for pain, inflammation and wound healing.
