Getting started at UB

School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Orientation

Incoming students must attend the SEAS Orientation. This orientation is typically held the week before Fall Semester classes start.

Engineering Science MS: Focus in ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE Orientation

All incoming students must attend the program-specific orientation where they will go over the full details of the program, plan of study, advising, culminating experience, and more. This orientation typically is held the week before the semester begins.

Selecting & Enrolling in Courses

The Engineering Science MS Artificial Intelligence is a 30 credit hour program comprised of 15 credits of core classes and 15 credits of electives including the culminating experience requirements. Students can self-register for classes each semester. First semester students are required to take EAS 501 Numerical Math for Computing and Data Science and EAS 595 Fundamentals of AI in semester 1, but can choose from the other elective and core classes to fill their class schedule. Full time registration is considered 12 credits.
