Administration and Planning

We strive to provide an exceptional student experience by ensuring that all of the units within Student Life have the financial and human resources they need to serve students efficiently and effectively.

Administration and Planning identifies and organizes the resources available to the division of Student Life and allocates those resources based on workforce planning priorities, special projects, procurement needs, and student services and programs.

• Workforce planning
• Position classification and transactions
• Recruiting well-qualified staff with various backgrounds and capabilities
• Onboarding new personnel to Student Life's inclusive workplace culture
• Performance management
• Establishing, implementing and examining Student Life policies in support of equality for all students and staff

We oversee the annual budgeting process for Student Life. Our goal is to ensure that funds are being spent appropriately, and are providing the maximum benefit for our students. 

• Assist units as they develop budget plans and priorities
• Create and monitor the master budget for Student Life
• Plan for potential variations in revenues and expenditures
• Develop and execute long-term strategic plans for Student Life based on the needs of our students and the university community
• Evaluate unit requests for resources
