Celebrate Earth Week with free soil amendment

Published April 14, 2016 This content is archived.

In honor of Earth Week, members of the UB community can pick up free, nutrient-rich soil amendment from Campus Dining & Shops for use in their own flower and vegetable gardens or as a compost supplement.

The soil amendment is a blend of pre- and post-consumer food waste from UB dining locations. The mixture contains scraps from fruits, vegetables, breads and meats that have gone through CDS’ food decomposer machine.

Free bags of soil amendment can be picked up from 1-6 p.m. April 18-22 at the Statler Commissary on the North Campus.

For more information, contact the commissary at 716-645-2832.
